Halloween, Brooklyn-style

Hurricane Sandy tried to wash away all hope for Halloween, but Fort Greene and Clinton Hill rallied! So did we! I stayed up until 2:30 putting final touches on the costumes. They'd been in process, then in hibernation (but still taking up most of the kitchen table) over the last few days.

My photo editing skills are almost zero, so these two shots would be better side by side as the smalls got ready for breakfast. Specials thanks to Finny for a new batch of pajamas that included these leopards!

IMG_2949Every year, this house hosts a Halloween show. This year it was a Mayan-apocalypse theme which we didn't see because the costumes freaked out Juniper a little. I think she could have handled it, but she was more interested in the phenomenon of trick or treat and candy-getting. Very exciting for a little girl who doesn't get to eat candy.

PS: earlier today …
